1. Hello, listening friends. I’m glad you joined us again.

2. Last time, we ran out of time, so I want to tell you the rest of this story today.
上次节目我们的时间不够,今天我要继续讲剩下的部分。

3. I hope you are prepared with your Bibles and ready to listen.

4. The Bible gives us a third type of mourning.
圣经告诉我们第三种哀恸。

5. It is this type of mourning that Jesus uses, here, in this passage of Matthew 5
就是在马太福音第5章耶稣所讲的哀恸,

6. when he said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
祂说,“哀恸的人有福了,因为他们必得安慰”

7. This type of mourning is a godly mourning.
这种哀恸,是一种属神的哀恸。

8. This type of sorrow is godly sorrow.
这种忧伤,是一种属神的忧伤。

9. This type of mourning will mature you to full stature of Christ.
这种哀恸会让你成熟,更像基督。

10. In the first beatitude, Jesus said that the entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven begins with being poor in spirit,
谈到第一个福气时,耶稣说,进天国的入口,就是要虚心。

11. and poverty in spirit is going to lead you into mourning over sin;
虚心,就是承认自己灵里的贫乏,这会引导你为罪孽哀恸。

12. and those who are poor in spirit will become those who will mourn.
所以虚心的人,就会成为哀恸的人。

13. It was of this type of mourning that the Bible said Peter mourned after he denied the Lord Jesus Christ.
圣经说,彼得因为不认主耶稣基督而哭泣,正是这种哀恸。

14. The Bible said he wept bitterly;
圣经记载,他是痛哭;

15. and the Aramaic word that Jesus uses here
耶稣在这里所用的亚兰文,

16. means that heartfelt grief.
意思是,真心实意地哀伤。

17. It is not an emotional feeling.
不是情绪上的感触,

18. In fact, it has nothing to do with emotion.
实际上,这和情绪无关。

19. It is a deep, inner feeling of anguish.
而是一种深层次,内在的痛苦。

20. That same word is used in Genesis 37,
同样的词用在创世记37章,

21. when Jacob’s boys came and lied to him and told him that Joseph was being devoured by an animal.
当雅各的儿子们,来到他的面前,谎称约瑟已经被野兽吞吃了。

22. He had inner mourning.
雅各的心深深伤痛。

23. It is used in Mark 16:10,
在马可福音16章10节同样用了这个词,

24. when the Disciples mourned before they knew that Jesus was raised from the dead.
也就是在知道耶稣从死里复活之前,门徒们哀恸哭泣。

25. It’s the same word that is used in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 18 and verses 11 and 15,
在启示录18章11节和15节,也是用了同样的词。

26. where it is said that, when the world economy collapses,
当说到,世界经济崩溃,

27. and the business people will mourn over the situation.
商人都为这种局面哀伤哭泣。

28. That is the kind of mourning that Jesus is talking about -
这就是耶稣所说的哀恸──

29. a deep, inner agony.
一种深层次,发自内心的巨大痛苦。

30. It is a mourning that you and I must feel toward our sin and disobedience.
而你和我,当面对我们的罪和叛逆时,必定会感到哀恸的。

31. Let me tell you a story.
我来给你讲一个故事。

32. In Dundee of Scotland,
在苏格兰的敦堤,

33. there was a famous preacher.
有一位著名的传教士。

34. His name was Robert Murray McShane.
他的名字是罗伯特默里麦克什尔。

35. He died at the age of thirty;
他三十岁就去世了;

36. and, one day, a young minister came to visit his church.
一个年轻人来参观他的教堂。

37. He asked the man in the church to tell him what is the secret of McShane’s power.
他问教堂的人,麦克什尔拥有这样大的能力,他的秘诀是什么。

38. McShane was instrumental in leading many people to Christ all over Scotland.
他这样问,是因为麦克什尔在苏格兰全国带领人归主,卓有成效。

39. The old sexton looked at the young man and said, “Come with me.”
一位看管教堂的老人回答说,“跟我来。”

40. He led him into the church
把他带进了教堂,

41. and, then, into the study,

42. and he showed him some of McShane’s books.
他拿出一些麦克什尔的书给他看。

43. Some of these books were still there.

44. He motioned to a chair that McShane used to sit in.

45. He said to him, “Sit down here...”

46. and the visitor obeyed.

50. Next, he led him into the church building

51. and they went up to the pulpit,

52. and he said to him,

53. “Put your elbows on the pulpit…”

54. and the visitor did;
年轻人照做了;

55. then, the sexton said,

56. “Now, put your face between your hands...”

57. and the young man complied.
年轻人照做。

58. The sexton said,

59. “Now, let tears flow.
“现在,哭吧。

60. That’s what McShane used to do.”
麦克什尔当年就经常如此。”

61. Jesus said,
耶稣说,

62. “Blessed are those who mourn.”
“哀恸的人有福了”

63. Jesus is not saying that happiness comes from the act of mourning.
耶稣没有说,幸福来自于哭泣这种行为。

64. Jesus is saying that happiness comes with what God does in response to your mourning.
而是说,神要回应你的哀恸,祂的回应就是你幸福的来源。

65. Happiness comes with forgiveness and the healing that results from such mourning.
你的哀恸会带来宽恕和医治,因此带来幸福。

66. God’s comfort can only be experienced by those who are prone to weep over their sin and not gloss over it.
只有为罪哀哭,我们才能经历神的安慰,但掩饰自己罪过的,则经历不到。

67. Godly mourning brings God’s forgiveness,
属神的哀恸,可以带来神的宽恕,

68. and God’s forgiveness brings God’s happiness and comfort.
神的宽恕,带来神的赐福和安慰。

69. This is the kind of mourning that Jesus is talking about.
这就是主耶稣所谈论的哀恸。

70. He is not speaking about the psychological and emotional experience that makes people feel bad sometimes.
祂并非指那种令人难过的心理或者情绪上的经验。

71. The world says
世人说,

72. that, when you find yourself in trouble,
当你发现自己身处困境时,

73. work your way out of it;
想办法努力摆脱它,

74. or, grit your teeth a little harder,
或者再咬紧牙关,

75. or, lift your chin up a little higher,
或者,扬起下巴,

76. or, plaster a smile on your face;
强颜欢笑;

77. but that’s not what Jesus is saying.
这些都不是主耶稣所指的。

78. Jesus said
耶稣说,

79. that the only way to be happy,
唯一得到幸福的方法,

80. the only way you can have a genuine smile,
唯一可以给你带来真正欢笑的方法,

81. the only way that you can be truly comforted,
也是唯一让你得安慰的方法,

82. is when you confess and you mourn over your sin.
就是承认自己的罪,并为罪深深悔过,

83. What I want to tell you comes from my heart.
让我诚心告诉你。

84. When you have a secret sin in your life,
当你生命中有一个不可告人的罪时,

85. no amount of positive thinking will help you.
再积极正面的想法都不能帮助你。

86. No amount of hard work will hide it.
再多的工作都不能掩盖它。

87. No amount of self-affirmation is going to heal you.
再多的自我肯定也不能治疗你。

88. Sin and happiness are completely, totally, absolutely, positively incompatible.
罪和幸福,是绝对,完全无法相容的。

89. Sin and happiness cannot co-exist together.
罪和幸福是不能共存的。

90. Mourning over sin brings forgiveness of sins.
为罪哀恸可以带来赦免。

91. Forgiveness of sin brings true joy and happiness.
罪得赦免,可以带来真正的快乐和幸福。

92. Joy and happiness can only be experienced through mourning.
快乐和幸福只有在哀恸中才能体会到。

93. There is no other way.
没有其他方法。

94. I know there are some people who want to be foolishly happy.
我知道有些人追寻虚浮的快乐。

95. They want to be frivolously happy.
他们要空洞的快活。

96. They want to be self-sufficiently happy,
他们喜欢靠自己寻开心,

97. or indulgence-happy;
或者放纵声色;

98. but listen to what James said
但听听雅各所说的,

99. to all of these people.
他怎么向那些人说。

1. He said, “Be miserable and mourn and weep
他说,“你们要愁苦,悲哀,哭泣;

2. and let your laughter turn into mourning,
将喜笑变作悲哀,

3. and your joy to gloom.”
欢乐变作愁闷。

4. I did not write this.
这不是我写的,

5. The Word of God said this.
而是神的话如此说。

6. Now, don’t misunderstand me.
请你别误解我。

7. The Bible recognizes legitimate sense of humor,
圣经认可合宜的幽默感,

8. and I’m not against sense of humor.
我不反对幽默感。

9. I’m not talking about mourning versus laughing.
我并没有说,哀恸和欢笑势不两立。

10. In fact, the Book of Proverbs, Chapter 17, verse 22, said,
实际上,箴言17章22节说,

11. “A joyful heart is a good medicine...”
“喜乐的心乃是良药……”

12. but the heart that rejoices in sin is not taking medicine. It is taking poison.
但享受罪中之乐,那就不是在吃药,而是在喝毒药了。

13. It is like a sugar-coated poison tablet.
就像一颗裹着糖衣的毒药。

14. Please, I don’t want you to misunderstand this text.
请注意,我不希望你误解了。

15. Jesus is not talking about the morbid type of mourning.
耶稣不是在说一种恶性的哀恸。

16. He’s not talking about the despairing type of mourning.
祂不是指那种令人绝望的悲痛。

17. He’s not talking about that false humility type of mourning.
祂也不是在说那种假谦卑的哀恸。

18. In fact, true mourning over sin does not focus on ourselves at all.
实际上,真正对罪的哀恸,不会只想到自己。

19. True mourning over sin does not even focus on the sin itself.
真正对罪的哀恸, 也不会只看罪恶。

20. True mourning focuses on God, Who forgives us our sins.
真正对罪的哀恸,是专注地仰望宽恕我们罪过的神。

21. When Paul made his famous statement in Romans 7, “wretched man that I am,”
当看到保罗在罗马书7章,发出他那着明的哀叹“我真是苦啊”时,

22. I am convinced in my heart that the context of this passage was mourning over sin;
我确信,今天的信息所讨论的是,因罪而起的哀恸;

23. however, he does not dwell there.
然而,他没有停留在那里。

24. He does not stay there.
也没有在那里留连不前,

25. He goes on in verse 25,
25节那里,他继续说下去,

26. and says,
他说,

27. “The way to victory is through Jesus Christ, our Lord.”
靠着我们的主耶稣基督就能脱离了。

28. Paul knew where to get the victory;
保罗知道怎样获得胜利;

29. but, he also knew that the victory of yesterday will not stretch for tomorrow,
但是,他也知道,昨天的胜利,不会延续到明天。

30. and the victory of tomorrow will not stretch to the day after,
明天的胜利,也不会延续到后天。

31. and the victory of last year will not last for the victory for next year.
上一年的胜利,不会持续到下一年。

32. The victory is a daily conquest.
胜利需要每天争取。

33. Have you ever asked yourself, "What are the marks of Christian maturity?"
你曾经问过自己“什么是基督徒成熟的标志” 吗?

34. Certainly, you know that you are not sinless;
当然,你知道,自己并非无罪;

35. so maturity cannot mean sinlessness.
因此,成熟,不是指无罪。

36. That will happen in Heaven.
无罪只有在天堂中才可能实现。

37. The mark of spiritual maturity is growing awareness of the sinfulness of sin.
属灵的成熟,就是渐渐知道罪恶的本质。

38. The Apostle John said,
使徒约翰说过,

39. “If we say we have no sin,
“我们若说自己无罪,

40. we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us;
便是自欺,真理不在我们心里了;

41. but, if we confess our sin…”
我们若认自己的罪……”

42. or, in other words, if we "mourn" over our sins…
或者,用另外一个词,如果我们为自己的罪“哀恸”……

43. “God is faithful and just and He will forgive us our sins,
“神是信实的,是公义的,必要赦免我们的罪,

44. and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.”
洗净我们一切的不义。”

45. I want to illustrate to you what I mean by the sinfulness of sin.
让我给你举例说明,罪的本质是什么意思。

46. The Romans, sometimes, compelled a captured enemy soldier to be joined face to face with a dead body.
在罗马帝国时,有些俘虏被迫跟一具死尸,面对面绑在一起。

47. There, they remained until the horrible effluvia destroyed the life of the living victim.
他们一直绑在一起,直到那恐怖的死尸恶臭熏死了那活着的俘虏。

48. Virgil, the Roman writer, described this cruel punishment this way:
罗马作家维吉尔这样描述这种酷刑,

49. “The living and the dead, at his command, were coupled face to face,
“活人和死人,被迫面对面,

50. hand to hand,
手握手,

51. until choked with stench, a loathsome embrace tied the living wretch to pine away and die...”
直到活人被死尸的臭气熏得窒息,这种恐怖的经历一直折磨着那可怜的人,直到他死去。

52. and now, my dear listener,
亲爱的朋友,

53. hear me right.
听清楚了。

54. Spiritually speaking, this is what sin does.
从属灵的意义上讲,罪也是如此。

55. Spiritually speaking, this is sin.
从属灵的意义上讲,这就是罪。

56. You are face to face with a dead body and you stay there and stay there.
你跟一具死尸面对面绑在一起,你一直待在那里。

57. Eventually, it will choke you spiritually.
最终,会扼杀了你属灵的生命。

58. Until you mourn over sin and until you confess your sin, you will not receive God’s comfort.
除非你为罪哀恸,承认自己的罪,否则你无法得到神的安慰。

59. God promises that, just as our mourning over sin rises to Heaven,
神答应我们,当我们为自己的罪忧伤痛悔时,我们的哀恸会升到天上。

60. by return mail, you’ll receive comfort immediately.
神回应你说,你立刻就可以得到安慰。

61. There is no waiting time.
不需要你多等待。

62. Comfort will be received immediately.
很快就会得到安慰。

63. I think we all know the comfort of a father or a mother,
我想,我们都体会过父母给予我们的安慰。

64. but I want to tell you that the comfort of God is much greater.
让我告诉你,神给予的安慰更大。

65. Have you ever experienced the comfort of God in your life?
你曾否经历过神在你生命中给你的安慰呢?

66. I have.
我有。

67. There are times when I feel that I’m least deserving of His comfort and, yet, His comfort surrounds me.
有好几次,我觉得自己根本不配得神的安慰,但祂的安慰整个包围着我。

68. He will comfort us completely in Heaven, but He also comforts us here.
将来在天堂里,我们会得到祂完全的安慰,但今天在地上,祂同样会安慰我们。

69. In Heaven, the comfort will be permanent,
在天堂里,安慰是永远的。

70. for the Bible said that He will wipe away our tears.
因为圣经说,他会抹干我们的眼泪。

71. How?
为什么?

72. Because there will no longer be any mourning over sin.
因为,那时不再因为罪而哀恸了。

73. What are other things that stop Christians from proper mourning over sin?
但今天,还有什么因素拦阻了基督徒为罪哀恸呢?

74. In fact, it is the very thing that stops unbelievers from coming to the Kingdom.
其实,这也就是阻挠非信徒进入天国的障碍。

75. First of all,
首先,

76. conceit.
就是自负。

77. Conceit will always hinder you from mourning.
自负总是会阻止你表达你的哀恸。

78. What do I mean by conceit?
我所说的自负是指什么?

79. Conceit will always tell you that there is no need for proper mourning.
自负总是告诉你,没有什么必要来哀恸。

80. Conceit blames other people.
自负也使我们去责怪别人。

81. Conceit tells you that the problem is with your spouse, or with your parents, or with somebody else.
自负对你说,问题出在你的配偶,你的父母,或者其他人身上。

82. This will hinder you from mourning;
这就妨碍了你的痛悔;

83. and, subsequently, it’s going to hinder you from receiving comfort;
然后,阻挠你接受安慰;

84. then, there’s a second thing.
还有第二样因素,

85. A callous will grow on any part of the skin, just by rubbing on for a little while.
只要你在皮肤上任何部位摩擦一段时间,自然会长出老茧来。

86. We become insensitive to God’s voice and our hearts grow callous to sin, and, consequently, we do not mourn.
我们不再敏锐于神的忠告,我们的心就好像长了老茧似的,使我们不再为罪哀恸。

87. I have talked to people in the past who have said to me
过去我曾经跟一些人谈话,他们说,

88. they will be living in sin, and, when I counsel them about repenting and mourning over sin, they would say, “Everybody sins.”
他们将继续生活在罪中,当我劝他们要悔改,为罪哀恸,他们就说“每个人都在犯罪呀。”

89. They say, “I know my sin is bad, but not as bad as somebody else.”
他们说,“我知道我有罪是不好,但我不像其他人那么糟糕。”

90. No, no, but, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn over their sin, for they shall be truly comforted.”
不对,不对,耶稣说,“哀恸的人有福了,因为他们必得安慰。”

91. Then, there is something else that hinders people from mourning;
还有一些其他的因素阻止人们为罪痛悔;

92. and, consequently, it keeps them from receiving comfort,
结果,这也阻止了他们接受安慰,

93. and it is despair.
就是绝望,

94. By despair, I mean
说到绝望,我的意思是,

95. giving up on God.
弃绝神。

96. By despair, I mean

97. putting ourselves out of God’s grace.

98. The ones who are in despair often say, “I am destined to sin.

99. It is part of human nature.

1. I cannot help it.”

2. What despair does is excuse sin.
绝望让我们为犯罪找借口。

3. Despair denies the fact that God is calling us.

4. He is even longing for us to come and mourn over our sin,
祂极其盼望我们能到祂面前,为罪痛悔,

5. so that we may receive His comfort.
这样我们才能得到祂的安慰。

6. Do you know that God longs to comfort you, tonight?
你知道神今天就期待着要来安慰你吗?

7. It is my prayer that you will experience His comfort tonight.
我祈祷,盼望你今天就能经历到祂的安慰。
